Review Policy

The Hispanic Reader reviews fiction and non-fiction books that are written by Hispanic/Latino authors or have Hispanic/Latino characters or locations (for example, Barbara Kingsolver’s The Lacuna and Stewart O’Nan’s Last Night at the Lobster).

I’m interested in fiction and non-fiction for adults and young adults. I’m not interested in academic, business, children’s, cookbooks or self-help books. Unfortunately, I can’t take self-published, small press books or books published only on e-readers due to time constraints and because I prefer to feature books that are accessible to everyone, through a library, Amazon.com and a major bookstore, such as Barnes and Noble.

If you’re interested in having your book reviewed, please write to hispanicreader (at) gmail (dot) com. I can’t guarantee that I will review your book or that I will give it a good review. I am interested in news about the book industry for my weekly news updates, so I’m happy to receive press releases and catalogs.
